EARLAH IS NOW RETIRED. One of our best production females, our Earlah came to us from New Hampshire and is a full Peruvian beauty with an exotic grace that turns heads wherever she goes. We found her at the AOBA auction in Salt Lake several years ago and she has really made an impact on our herd. As you can see she's got it all - great coverage and conformation, a gorgeous typey head, and bright bundles of dense crimpy fleece - it spins up beautifully. Oh my...I finally got around to looking at Enora's cria fleece. I could not believe what I found! Extremely bright, extremely long, and (drool, drool) extremely fine. She also has nice density - lots and lots of grade one fiber in that rich mahogany color - really fun to run your hands through. She wins the prize as my "sleeper baby" from last year. Enora also has a quiet dignity to go with her wonderfully handling fleece. We will not show her, perhaps her fleeces, but she is a bit on the timid side and would not enjoy the show circuit. Evie is just everything we hoped for in our breeding program. Along with great presence and grace, she is bright and crimpy with fantastic coverage and armor plate density, a beautiful well organized fleece, and a 5" to 6" staple length. It’s great watching people's reaction when they first touch her - everybody comes back for a second touch. She also has a personality that just won't quit! They don't get much better than this. Semper Fi is a full Peruvian and 5/8 Accoyo male from a breeding that has repeated its excellence in every cria. The first two crias from this cross were females, and we have been hoping for a male to arrive to carry on both his sire's and dam's genetic excellence at Bella Vita. He arrived in 2011, and Semper Fi is his name. Perfect in conformation and with great commanding presence, as all the Tuscan crias have, his fleece matches with density, fineness, brightness to rival suri luster, uniformity and a buttery soft hand that makes you want to keep your hands in it forever. Semper Fi's older full sister, Toscana, sold in the top 10% of prices at the AOBA auction several years ago. Semper Fi's other full sister, Zahara, sold off the ranch sight unseen for a very respectable price based on her sister's reuptation, her own show record and her genetic excellence. Semper Fi is the third cria from this cross, and he is all we hoped for. The Marine's motto is Semper Fi (Fidelis), meaning "always faithful", and our Semper Fi lives up to this motto with his faithful adherence to the genetic code in his DNA. This girl is something else - Poise and Presence oozing out of every pore. And her fiber is truly spectacular. She has a wonderful density - you really have to dig to find skin...and as you are digging you can't help but notice how silky and soft she is. Our sweet Ophelia - Fee Fee to her friends - is one of those wonderful surprises. She is a very pretty girl, is sweet and friendly - quite endearing actually - but the surprise comes when you touch that wonderful fleece.
