Description
Wonderfully Fine Fiber plus Hemingway Genetics - Alpha Centauri's La Llorona has absolutely gorgeous medium fawn fiber that is incredible in its softness & consistency. Even as a mature adult, she is maintaining the fiber fineness of a top-end cria, with an AFD of just 21.0 microns in 2015 at the age of 9 and a half.
La Llorona comes with an elite pedigree. Her sire Spanish Peaks Alpha Centauri is a white full Peruvian vicuna-fleeced male whose grandsires Accoyo Peruvian Victor & Peruvian Hemingway are well-known foundation line herdsires in North America. Alpha Centauri's fleece reflects his quality genetics, with soft, silky fiber characterized by strong density, very strong brightness, long staple length, & a beautiful deep amplitude crimp.
La Llorona also inherits strong genetics from her dam's side. Medium fawn Victory's Francesca is of Chilean heritage, with substantial darker color genetics that extend to greys as well as browns. Thus La Llorona has the potential to throw darker colors as well as lighter ones in her offspring, along with wonderfully fine fiber characteristics.
La Llorona is a proven producer & a good mother. While at our ranch, she has borne two offspring, both females & both with extremely fine first-year fiber (averaging 16-17 microns).
